For all the people who were coming out to our Vancouver, WA show on May 31, 2008, we apologize for the cancellation.
As we were driving down to our show at the Eastside in Olympia, we thankfully were able to check out our email and found out that Studio 704 (the venue we were going to play in Vancouver) had been sold that very afternoon to new management, and that our spot had become jeopardized because of it!
After further correspondence with the previous venue owners, it appears that they had cancelled ALL shows at the old Studio 704. The place is now called LAUGHS and LYRICS.... which means that Handful will probably have to relocate to a new venue in Vancouver Washington next time we are down in that neck of the woods.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and also are disappointed that we didn't get to get into Studio 704 one time before it was closed. That would have been a good story to tell.

Well the summer is almost upon us, and with the sun comes lots and lots of festivals! If you've visited our website or myspace lately you have seen the extend of the festival touring we are going to be doing this summer. If you have a chance, definitely come out and enjoy our song and music in the great outdoors.
Our first festival show, which will be starting off our 2008 stint of festival shows will be the Northwests own favorite, the Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center on May 25, 2008! If you've picked up a copy of the most recent Seattle Weekly, you will be able to see exactly when and where we will be playing.
Prior to the sun and the festivals, Handful of Luvin' will be returning to Showbox Sodo on Saturday May 24, 2008, with our favorite Olympian Band - Sideways Reign, and a newcomer - Poor Man's Whiskey. The evening promises to be full of load, rowdy, and drunken enjoyment. If you've missed hearing Handful play for this past month, this would be the perfect show to get your fill at.

If you've visited our website or myspace lately you have probably seen that our scheldule is becoming increasingly crazy for this upcoming summer of 2008. Keep checking back in for updates for both since we are constantly filling in dates from June to September.
In the near future, Handful of Luvin' is returning to the Nectar next week on Saturday April 19, 2008. Handful of Luvin' is playing with Down North opening, and it is their CD Release party for their upcoming new album. Doors open at 9:00, $10/door.
With Spring pretty much here, the Nectar will be opening up their outdoor patio so everyone will be able to enjoy good tunes, and a taste of fresh Spring air. Come on down next week to Fremont- it promises to be a great lineup.

Handful of Luvin' has some exciting news.... actually some of the best news since the release of our new album! I know there wasn't alot of time between the two.... but it's still amazing!
Handful of Luvin' has been offered to open for Carbon Leaf at Marymoor Park on August 18, 2007!! This is hands down, the single biggest show we have played- or perhaps the most reputable! Carbon Leaf has been a big name in the last couple of years (particularly in the Northwest), and we are more than excited to have the honor of opening for them! We will for sure keep everyone posted with all the show details!

The one thing that I can say about this show, is that it will be weird opening for our first huge national touring band (actually aside from The Samples) - so opening for our second huge national touring band will be weird since it will be on my birthday! Hello Everyone!
So I'm not sure how excited you are all about the upcoming release of our new album, "The Land of Giants," so in an effort to get everyone pumped up, we are going to release one track early online on www.myspace.com/handfulofluvin, and www.handfulofluvin.com. The single 'Elephant' will be available for all of your listening pleasure later on today, and hopefully this will get all of you hyped about our show this Friday!
All of us with Handful of Luvin' are stoked for this show for a number of reasons:
1. Cd release (it took us over 2 years and some personal growth to make this album happen)
2. Killer Lineup (I have tried to gather some of the best, groovy, danceable bands in Seattle for this show. we are proud to be sharing a lineup with Slacktide Soul, The Panda Conspiracy, and Troll's Cottage.) Please come early to hear their sounds.
3. All Ages (I know we haven't played an all ages show in a while, and alot of you have been complaining about this- so here it is... and for all the over 21 crowd- even though you might not necessarily enjoy all the underagers- at least the Showbox has plenty of room to drink and get crazy by the bars!) We hope to see ALL of you there since this is a HUGE event for us.
Tickets can be bought at www.ticketmaster.com, or any ticketmaster outlet... for example, Fred Meyer, QFC, etc. or if you want, you can purchase tickets at the door of the showbox on the day of the show. Make sure to get there relatively early for good spots at the show.
